Seems like there is a customer looking to be served up along the Oregon Coast. A regular local, in fact, Mrs. Cannon. Er, or just Cannon. Man—that is going to take some serious getting used to. Typically, Cannon would order a… a… what's the Mrs. thing? A latte or a cappuccino. However, we're operating under the assumption that Cannon is actually looking for a cup of the blackest, Darkest coffee possible. She, er, he, or—whatever—CANNON might be the Dark's "in" over on this coast.
Cannon is a dancer, and a dangerous one at that. He probably got involved with the Dark through Aka. Dancers love to dance together, after all. But Cannon's terpsichorean nature brings along some limitations on when, where, and how he can strike. Unfortunately, he's not so famous as to have a rhyme devoted to his rules—but he's got enough details to piece it together. Has to be in a car and has to be a car going along the 101 Highway. I'm not sure if parked cars are fair game or not, but from what I've been able to find on the guy, it seems like he can as long as they are near the highway.
With all that said, Cannon isn't waiting around for us. No. He's already made a move on a car with two tourists in it. From what we've been able to piece together and from the tourists' report, Cannon wasn't alone. He had someone else with him—not sure who… or what… but the important piece of comfort food is the smell the tourist described: sharp, metallic, rust. That same oily stuff we saw on Pedro. The mark of your guy's mysterious toymaker, right? In any case, we just arrived in Cannon Beach today, and that's what we've learned so far. We're trying our best to avoid being in any cars for the time being—but we might need to get behind the wheel to lure Cannon out.

WE ARE AT CANNON BEACH! A BEACH! Let me just say this, this is what I will say about beaches, beaches are simply AMAZING! I love beaches! There is so much water in which to splash and splash about. It is simply a very good time all around. However, it is somewhat with a heavy heart that I must admit that we do not have much time for splishing and splashing and whatnot… we have to find Cannon! YES! Cannon! We think he is working with the Dark, along with another unknown person—perhaps the toymaker?? I simply do not know!
I said to the Barista, this is what I said to the Barista, I said to him this, I said we should check out by the water. But no! Apparently, that would be a dead end because Cannon cannot go into the water! Because of his bandages! It would make him fall apart probably. Plus, and, also, you see, he can only come State-side through a car. So, we started to drive around the highway seeing if he'd take the bait. If I were not afraid of Cannon showing up at any moment, I would find it to be very fun and relaxing.
OH! YES! And, very, very strange… you know those two tourists Cannon accosted before we got here? We were able to talk with them yesterday but, but, but, when we went back to speak with them today, they were GONE! COMPLETELY VANISHED!!! The hospital did not know where they were and upon further investigation, they had been using FALSE NAMES! What the heck is happening here?! I hope they are okay and that Cannon did not go and, you know, "finish the job." But also, why does Cannon want to mess with tourists?
…Unless… do you think they are not tourists after all???

We lost all communication with Barista and New Guy in Cannon Beach. Something must have gone wrong. Someone needs to help them. Besides, with the Scepter from Gameshow's game now in the hands of the Dark, we shouldn't allow the entirety of our Cafe to be trapped in whatever week-long nightmare they may bring about. I trust the Manager, H.R., and Payroll will be able to handle whatever they will face without my aid. Additionally, I know Barista quite well and if—if something has happened, I would want to be the one to tell 8. Their 8.
The last we heard from them was on the 13th. However, as you can see by the receipt number, it seems like they published two more receipts that we haven't been able to see. They might be somewhere in the AND Channel—but neither the New Guy or Barista should have any reason to break from the standard AND protocol. BAM04 and BAM05 must be… held up somewhere. Something is causing those receipts to not reach us. It's rather troubling. Thankfully, Cannon Beach is not too big, and I should be able to find them quickly. Assuming there is something of them to still find.
I'll depart immediately and head toward their last known CaDCom coordinates. Looks like the CaDCom saw them last along the 101 Highway. Obviously, Cannon is likely involved. Though, Cannon on his own shouldn't be able to stop those two from communicating entirely… Well… Unless. No. Barista knows how to handle himself. I trained him. And if things were truly dire, he would've called in the Third Cafe for backup. And from what I've read, New Guy wouldn't go down without a fight either. Fierce little creature. They are safe. I know they are. But something is wrong.
That's all.
Big Guy.
