THE OWNER
Well, that was harrowing, wasn’t it? Mrs. Pleasant attempted to cause quite the scene in our little Cafe and Diner, but that’s just like her. Thankfully, we were more than able to satisfy her late-night cravings. Well, if you consider E:30 or so to be “late night.” More of an evening snack. Regardless, our service was top-notch, and I can only assume she’ll be giving us a glowing review. A review so good it has to catch our clerical competition’s eye.
In that spirit, I think it is high time we have some rules of conduct for the Cafe and Diner. We need to keep our service top-notch, and after the month we’ve had, it’s probably for the best. I know you all aren’t necessarily one for “rules,” but I suppose you can think of them as guidelines at best. Well, except for rules 1, 7, 9, and 13. Those rules are indeed rule-rules. Although, I hope you’ve all been following rule 1 already.
Cafe and Diner Rules
Rule #1: All Employees must wash their hands
Rule #2: Coffee is NOT to be served in the Cafe
Rule #3: Friends are expected, patrons are welcome
Rule #4: We are CLOSED in August
Rule #5: We do not care where you park your cars
Rule #6: Do not park your cars in a Red Zone
Rule #7: The next number does not exist
Rule #9: So stop looking for it
Rule #10: Pumpkin Spice rots your teeth
Rule #11: Rules are meant to be broken
Rule #12: A quiet day is a good day
Rule #13: Smile, you’re on camera
Now, of course, these rules are only intended for the Diner. The Cafe has its own set of rules which you can find in the Cafe. Keep in mind rule 2. As for our next moves concerning the Open Doors Church, I expect next month to be a rather important one for them. However, thanks to our outstanding service last night, I don’t expect them to make any major moves yet. Though we still need to figure out what exactly Padre’s little red book entails, and according to Mr. Gray, Mr. Walker knows more about it. Finding him might prove, well, challenging, but for once, I think I’ve beaten 17 to a source. I’ll keep you all updated.
