Thanks, Red Eye. Really great replacement. Is this payback for Mrs. Weyer? And as for Lungo’s replacement… I don’t know. He’s weird. But at least he’ll be able to provide us with a good deal of funding. And at least Lungo was able to get in touch with a “Mysterious Benefactor” who provided us with our very own physical location—no strings attached. Well, mostly without strings, there is one condition, the same condition the Mysterious Benefactor always requests: that the Cafe and Diner continue to serve the best coffee possible for its many customers.
Unlike the previous physical location, we’re located a little closer to the coast, this time right off of Alamitos. The new physical location also came equipped with quite the stockade of coffee equipment, apparently supplied mostly by Romano’s very deep pockets. It’s funny. Most of this stuff looks like it was based on original Cafe designs. I suppose BaristaTech must still be behind their manufacturing, but I always assumed there was a sort of exclusivity deal between the old Cafe and BaristaTech. I guess that must’ve gone up in flames too.
And for those who haven’t been keeping up, with the new location comes our two new employees replacing Red Eye and Lungo. I suppose they were both a bit too busy to work at the Cafe full-time, though they’re still on the payroll. Red Eye’s replacement is an employee from the first Cafe, like myself. And Lungo’s replacement is some rich kid weapons expert who has apparently been in the Coffee Trade since he was a kid… so a few years at best. He looks familiar… but I can’t exactly place it. I feel like I’ve seen him before, or I suppose I’ve seen a character that looks like him before. It’s on the tip of my tongue. Not Green Lantern… Not Hawkeye… agh, if Shill was still around, he’d know.
