RECEIPT AS OF: 8/06/01

BARISTA ON DUTY: CARAJILLO

RECEIPT FILED AS: TAGS-01

I saw something strange. Admittedly, there are many strange things here in Long Beach. Though what I saw today was a type of strange, I understand. Mostly. Someone had painted on the side of a building. Mostly nonsense words and letters, but I saw some very familiar symbols beneath the paint. Canadian symbols. From a glance, they looked like they were Public Keys. Ways to get to Canada. I saw a few other Canadian symbols, but they were hard to make out as someone else had already painted over them.

I will take some photos this afternoon, assuming they are still visible. It seemed like people were constantly painting over each other’s work. I don’t get why they would do this. Perhaps to further obscure the Canadian symbols? Though I do not believe that would work. If obscured enough by another’s paint, the Public Keys would become extremely unstable and unreliable. I would imagine to the point that even attempting to use one would do more harm than good. So, perhaps there is another organization out there similar to our own that is working to shut down these Public Keys. Alternatively, if these are “one-way” Public Keys, they might not need to be fully visible in the States to work well from Canada. This could be how Mistress’ partygoers are arriving in the States.

Interestingly, the Public Key did not lead toward a region of Ottawa where Pomegranate Pie is served. As such, I doubt Mistress and her revelers are actually involved. Though why someone would need a Public Key to get Grilled Salmon also confuses me. Have we received any information saying customers are ordering Grilled Salmon? I suppose being this close to the water could explain it. Well, I can’t say for certain until I do some further investigation.

That’s all.
