Hey everyone, 17 here, along with 323. After 323’s sit-down with Mr. Hyer on the 19th, Mr. Hyer abruptly left the establishment without paying his tab. Obviously, if you overheard their conversation, you might be rightfully concerned with his final message. 323 has been taking all possible precautions, and we’ve both done extensive sweeps of the area, and all seems well. We’re unsure who Mr. Hyer was talking about and if Mr. Hyer meant what he said literally or figuratively.
Regardless, what we do know is that Mrs. Pleasant is supposed to be out and about again. Though thankfully, we haven’t seen her come in yet. Again, we’ve done some pretty intensive sweeps of the Hotbed airport, and we haven’t picked up any strange or unreported flights. Of course, she might have charted a direct flight to Long Beach to settle unfinished business. Another interesting, although I assume unimportant, detail is that there are no flight logs for Mr. Hyer either. So where exactly did he come from?
It would be great if we could have another meeting with him, maybe somewhere more private where he might be more willing to open up about the Hotbed and its customers. In the meantime, 323 and I will continue monitoring Hotbed for any signs of Mrs. Pleasant or her peers. Additionally, it would seem that the Eclipse special did not have a major impact on the Hotbed area, possibly because it was out of the path of totality. We’ll still be keeping an eye out, however.
