CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM */20/17

MANAGER 125

RECEIPT: FESTERINGFLIES04

STATUS: OPEN

We’ve decided to hit the road again. This camper van lifestyle is not for me. Anyway, we’re moving up to Bluegrass before tomorrow’s Total Solar Eclipse. 134 wants to see if the fly population in McCracken explodes as that should be around the epicenter of the eclipse. And 224 wants to see if her hat will block the light of the sun’s corona so she can safely view the eclipse. Well, something like that. I’m sure you’re all able to read between the lines there. As for me? Well, I guess I’m just the chauffeur at the moment. Big. Win. For. Me.

All my complaining aside, there have been a few more reports of flies popping up, not only in Bluegrass but Enchantment, Copper Canyon, Sooner, Natural, and the Boot too. Same deal in each place, more or less. A mysterious swarm of flies pops up, bites people, and then drops dead a few days later. Interestingly enough, I can tie each of the reports of flies to other customers from each state. None of them seem to be our Mr. Diptera, though. It’s hard to say if Mr. Diptera is even a customer or not… but something definitely reeks of coffee. Oh, and acetone.

I’ll update everyone tomorrow on what the fly situation is like at the center of the eclipse. I’ll also see if 224 picks up anything strange and relay that info too. And I guess if 134 makes any new discoveries, I can update you about that too. Look—I’m just trying to make myself feel useful out here beyond just driving this cheap piece of junk around. Sometimes being one of three really has its drawbacks. Especially when I could be just chilling back home instead of driving around the sticks. Oh well. At least we get to see the eclipse in all its glory. You know me, always trying to look on the bright side.
