After quite a few meetings, here’s our official stance on Miss. Umbra’s proposal: we do not accept. The Langley Stones are far too powerful to hand over to M.K. and his operation. Even if M.K.’s end goal was only to get the stones, and by giving him the stones, he released Bart and gave him a nice warm Green Tea, the stones together are more dangerous than Bart ever was. Of course, the stones have one important built-in failsafe in that they can only be used by Langleys. Seeing as M.K. already has Magdalena and would presumably give her back to get the stones, we need to consider who he would target next to use them.
Ursula. We don’t know much about her and what we do know is that she has some resentment toward Solomon. Therefore, she might make a very appealing target for M.K. to gain access to someone who can use the stones. So, we need to focus all our attention on finding Ursula first. We needed to find her anyway, and now it has become of greater importance. Solomon, Abner, and No. 26 agree that out of the 13 siblings, Ursula would be the most vulnerable to M.K.’s influence and most likely to side with him if he got to her first. Enoch and Antionette are too pious, Jethro and Lazarus owe the Cafe, Theodosia similarly has no reason to act against us, and Damaris and Parthenia are likewise grateful to the Cafe for returning their brothers. Malachi would be a risk if he wasn’t already firmly in our Snake Oil Distributor’s grasp.
No. 7, No. 35, No. VI, No. VII and I will be heading to Ursula’s presumed residence in Salem today. We should be there within a day or two. No. 1 and 2 will ensure that the other Langleys are safe and remain uncontacted by M.K. or Miss. Umbra. The TriCaD, along with No. 512, are working on a special menu item set to quench the thirst of any tourists looking for some Orange Juice.
