[SERVER] MANAGER NO. 1

[DATE] 12/2/21

[INDEX ID] OAA5

[SECURITY] DINER

In case you haven't noticed, yes, we are now located in Astoria, Oregon. Kind of. The specific location is a bit more… obscure, but I can say we are near Astoria. Close enough to see the Columbia River, that's for sure. So… does this mean the Cafe and Diner now has seasonings such as salt and pepper in stock? Yes. We do. Our new location was made possible via a mysterious benefactor and the help of "Takes Twenty Three Productions." Of course, as you already probably know, it only takes two to Tango.

Since late September, this "merger" of sorts has been in the works. We've had a lot of back and forth, and I've had many meetings with Alfa through Zulu. The Managers also agreed with four-to-three in favor of the merger at our last meeting. I know it might seem out of the blue for many of you, but I assure you it was well in the indigo for a while now. The main advantage of this unlikely partnership is access to the latest and greatest cafe equipment. The kind that can make a cup of coffee that really gets you where you need to be. We also have access to special protections afforded to us via the Kennedy Laws. If you're wondering where we are on the pecking order specifically, we officially come after Zulu—division Ampersand. Now for those who think a Division's position alphabetically holds any merit, it doesn't. Rank-wise we're probably closer to somewhere between Echo and Foxtrot. Our security level is in the A-G class. This also means we have access to the H and I Divisions and can utilize any of the special J-S Divisions as well. Bonus, we also can now rely on Ray for custodial work.

Now, as for the other two branches… Yes, you are technically part of Division Ampersand too. But, you are also afforded your own agency to conduct business as usual. Whatever that "usual" is for you. Only the Astoria Branch of the Cafe and Diner has to answer to whims and whatnot of the Lighthouse. For the most part, we should also be able to continue our business as usual, but if not, Long Island should be able to pick up the smaller stuff. I know we all have certain strong feelings about working for and with our long-term best friends, but I can't see any other way around it right now. Plus, we at least have a shared interest in keeping our collective coffee from going Cold. Sometimes, you have to take out a loan to pay off a debt.
