//CaDCom Receipt System v4.0//

Barista: Sarah Blackwood

Date: Feb-3-2020

Receipt: C-OSO-008

Subject: Otherworld

Tech status: CaDComs are holding. Surprisingly well, honestly. I’ve run three diagnostics since we entered ████████, and the V.4s haven’t fried, warped, or burst into flame (you would have noticed that, I hope), which is frankly a better track record than some of our gear has historically had in other ██████ and even some of the further outreaches of the █████████.

But something’s changed.

If you flip your CaDCom over and look near the bottom port panel, just under the external relay socket, you’ll notice a small red █████-switch has activated. That’s our █████████ detection sensor. Normally it only flips when we (or at the very least, our CaDComs) cross into █████████. Problem is, we’re not in the █████████.

But it tripped anyway.

Which means the Otherworld is close enough in structure or signature to the █████████ that the CaDCom can’t tell the difference.

Or at least, the █████-switch can’t.

Diagnostics say we’re in the ███████████.

Not close. In.

Very strange… though, quite possibly an invaluable clue to this mystery. I’ve let Victoria know as she’s been working to gather data on where and what the Otherworld is.

Unfortunately, this also means that the CaDCom can’t get a clean read on the date or time of this place. If this were actually the ███████████ we could sync into their month, year, local time—the usual. But here? Nada. The CaDCom isn’t that convinced we’re in the ███████████. All we've got to go on right now is what the system clock tells us which is ████████ Time.

February 3rd, 4:26 P.M.

Not that it matters. It still feels like we’re a day behind and stuck at lunch.
