I’ve got some exciting news for everyone! We’ve just gotten our first taste of real comfort food. Peppermint says multiple tourists have been seeking advice from a local fortune teller regarding a strange and frightening customer who has been lurking around at night. From what Peppermint has been able to discern, this customer is none other than the friendly and playful Mr. Perez. Although, it is perhaps a little concerning that his antics have driven tourists to seek spiritual guidance from a cartomancer… I’m willing to chalk that up to usual tourist nonsense. If Peppermint is correct, and the customer we’re dealing with is indeed Mr. Perez, we have nothing to worry about!
Still, seeing as this is our first official order, we should probably offer the best service we possibly can. After the fire, the Cafe and Diner has not been… well regarded… So, some late nights are ahead—just to make sure that Mr. Perez is indeed Mr. Perez and we don’t totally bungle up our first service back in business. And our first official late night should be spent checking in with this fortune teller. Why have tourists been so drawn to them after seeing Mr. Perez? Is it just a small sample size… or is something bigger happening?
The fortune teller in question works at Heir to Airy Eyre Eyes… which, if you ask me, is a mouthful. It’s a relatively new shop from what I could find online, but the tourists seem to love it. Beyond some glowing reviews, though… it seems like just another tourist trap set up to swindle tourists on their way to and from the City of Roses. But it’s close by and open tomorrow, so we might as well check it out and see if this mysterious prestidigitator knows anything about Mr. Perez.
