Uh, hi, everyone!
It seems like I was finally able to get this CaDCom working. Considering how badly it was burnt, that’s a pretty big success! I guess I should probably introduce myself, huh? Well—I guess you could say that I’m a longtime supporter of the Cafe and Diner. I know that after it burnt down, it lost a lot of the respect it once held in the coffee scene, but honestly? I think that’s all a bunch of premium hazelnut. Do you really think the original owner would have done that? It’s so ridiculous I don’t even want to say it, let alone entertain the thought that it could be even slightly true.
I guess that’s the trade-off you have to make in this business. You spend so long protecting all of your trade secrets from the other Cafes when something happens, there isn’t much of a paper trail to prove your innocence. Well, regardless of what the original owner did or did not do, you have to admit that the Cafe and Diner was something special, right? All of these other Cafes, the New Dawn Coven, the Decodex Society, the Eikositrian Coterie, the Orchard Concord, and the [EXPUNGED-W1R0]—they don’t know how to serve coffee if they bought a drip machine to do it for them. So! I wanted to reopen the Cafe and Diner.
…Of course, I don’t exactly know what I’m doing. But! I don’t have to do it alone, right? I’m sure I can find some employees to help me out. Plus, I can go back through the Cafe and Diner’s Archives to see how they did things. It’s going to take some time to actually decrypt everything and restore the data that was lost. I suppose I should also work on keeping the Archive updated in general, huh? Well—while I look for some new employees, I’ll start setting up a general knowledge repository, too.
