That was my bad, sorry. I had the CaDCom-As in a… well, I guess you could consider it “locked” mode. It didn’t even cross my mind that they’d need to be unlocked for Vanilla to make any new adjustments to their software/hardware. They’re unlocked now, so hopefully, Vanilla can finish adding in some sort of customer menu software. The hardware should already be in there to take a customer’s specific order, but if not, we can always add something via a dongle or whatever. I don’t know. Barista tech is all a bit beyond me.

Anyway! Once we get our menu software working, we can take Mr. Perez’s order to figure out how to serve him. As I think meticulous note-keeping is something of a virtue, I’ll do my best to write out a sort of recap receipt at the end of each month, just like the original Owner did. However, it’s been a slow month—and really only half of one at that. Beyond our lovely Mr. Perez, there isn’t much else we’ve been working on at the moment. So, let’s look a bit to the future then!

Next month, once we know what Mr. Perez’s order is, we’ll need to figure out how to serve it. I have Peppermint looking into ways to, you know, book Mr. Perez a flight home after he’s done eating. However, it’s a bit tough to actually book flights as the Decodex Society has a bit of a monopoly when it comes to air travel. Even if we could book him a flight home, they’d probably notice and undercut our efforts. In the worst case, though, I don’t think it’d be all too bad to have Mr. Perez hang around the Cafe for a bit until we can find a way to get him home under the radar. In any case,

Happy New Year and New Beginnings,

Hibiscus
