Anybody else fall asleep to the lulling sounds of ‘gie scanners? Just me? Y’all don’t know what ya missing. Well, my ears certainly perked up around 4 or 5 in the morning with numerous reports of a strange 5-foot-tall ball of fire moving through the town headed toward the Bay. If that doesn’t sound like our little prophesied pyro’ I don’t know what does. Good news is that the ‘gies ain’t with it, and they scattered after the light went out. Now I have a feelin’ it takes more than just a dip in some water to quench that comfort food craving.

Unfortunately, when I took a drive over there after the ‘gies gave up I couldn’t find them either. Maybe they are really good at holdin’ their breath, or maybe they drowned, or maybe they just left after the water didn’t work. Or, hey, maybe the water did the trick, and ‘Der’s prophecy is a bit of a bust. Not so much in the sense that it didn’t come true, it did, but if we aren’t fated to meet up with this hotshot, then what was the point of pullin’ out their would-be ‘motions?

Well—’gardless I want to find this fire starter. ‘Der’s ‘matic ‘motion writing already revealed comfort food that is far too tempting for me not to take a few nibbles of. We’ve got someone in Sunshine who is in talks with the Big Man and has access to some serious hot fire. I’ve gotta know what the deal is with that. Plus, it’d be nice to know why ‘Der was drawn to their ‘motions over others. It’s not like this fireball is the only source of strong ‘motion in the city. I’ll keep an eye out near the Bay in case they come back, and I’ll have our cool cat see if she can’t tap back into that source of ‘motion in the ocean.
