We’ve arrived at our Corpse Reviver Distribution Center up in Ottawa. The situation here is worse than expected. Thankfully, this is not our fight to fight. Large parts of the outer ring have fallen to the Morbid Army. A few inner rings have also begun to falter. What is clear is that it is not safe outside of the Spire. As fortune would have it, we have an old ally on the inside—Ristretto.
It will still require a bit of travel to reach Ristretto. While I am not worried for myself or the others’ safety, I do fear that our New Guy could be placed in harm’s way. It is too late to bring him home, so we will need to proceed with extra caution. No. 44A and I both know of a few hidden shortcuts to the Spire, though those bring their own dangers. It’s… a toss-up between dealing with shadows or what came before them. Mm. Of course, this wouldn’t have been a problem in the first place if No. 5 knew how to properly brew a Corpse Reviver.
If we were on our own, I believe it would be quicker—and perhaps safer—to move through the Labyrinth. However, with our New Guy I feel a slower path through the rings is the correct course of action. On the bright side, it will give us a chance to observe the bedlam up close. If we are lucky, the Morbid Army shouldn’t pay us any attention as they are currently fixated on pushing through the rings. From what we’ve heard from the residents around this region, the shadows seem to leave you alone so long as you stay out of their way. Of course, I can’t say that would be our case if Miss. Umbra were to know we are here. Sore loser.
