Ah, the 8-Ball. What a mysterious piece of plastic, eh? As for myself, I am doing fine. I promise. A little sore, but it is a familiar pain, no? Of course, due to my condition, I’ve been placed on “lower importance” work only. We wouldn’t want Fenrir to somehow manipulate me into giving him Sebitti, yes? So, I’ve been shaking the 8-Ball around to see what, if anything, it has to say. So far, nothing out of the ordinary. I do worry that Capgras has been seeing things. Though while the Shakas have been at each other’s throats, I’ve been contemplating the fate of this 8-Ball myself.
I wonder… if there is still some remnant of Mr. Cold, Fate, or the CaDCom Database still in here, would No. 4 be able to shake it out? Would that even be a good thing? I think, in the worst case, he ends up accidentally melting the toy. In the best case, though, he might be able to solve the mystery of the phantom answers Capgras has been experiencing. A quick query and the 8-Ball says… Outlook Good. Well, there you have it, eh?
To be fair, there is a 50/50 chance it would say yes. I asked Capgras if he thought we’d need it for his BIAB case. He was uncertain, of course, though he figured that outlook would become clearer after Sunday’s big Bingo game. We could also simply lend the 8-Ball to the Cult of Personality. I wouldn’t mind taking a trip over there to supervise No. 4’s use of it. That seems reasonably “lower importance,” no? Though perhaps there is something about this 8-Ball I am missing. As I understand it, it caused quite a turmoil for the Third Cafe and Diner, but that was a bit before my time.
