Heyo! Sorry for the radio silence, it’s been… a week… or a month? Honestly, time’s weird here.
Not surprising.
The Otherworld doesn't use the ████████'s temporal logic. I suspect the Otherworld doesn't even like the ████████'s temporal logic. So, timekeeping has gone totally sideways. The V.4 units have been defaulting to a ████████ temporal sync, but that's about as accurate here as using a sundial in a Dali dream.
But we've been tinkering with something.
Sarah and I have been working on a patch to the CaDComs that should give us a better sense of time here. Essentially we need to switch from numbers to █████████████. Establish a ████████████████████████ inside the CaDComs. Assuming each Isle █████████ operates on a █████████████ it means events matter more than intervals. Like Irish mythology itself, it moves in cycles. Which, yes, is also how time moves for us on a macro scale too. So, if we can create some sort of █████████████████████ inside of the CaDComs that detects █████████████████████████ (██████████████████, ████████████████████, █████████████████████████████) we can establish a ███████████████████████████ that we are in. Basically, it means we can start tracking time here the way this █████ wants it tracked, through █████, not seconds.
█████████-babble aside, instead of "February 5th" we're looking to have like… "Ulster Cycle: 4th Movement." Or something like that. The specifics are still unclear. And we need to work on how it'll display in the header. And we need to decide if we're the ones naming the cycle or if the Otherworld has its own names already. And then, oh jeez. Total can of worms. What if every █████ in the Otherworld has its own ███████████████? And each Isle in ██████ has its own cycle too?
It's… a lot to parse. But Jean-Marc wants us to get something working and soon if we're going to be sailing across the Silver Sea. Not a smart idea to sail away without a sense of time.
