Subject: The Fairfolk
We're about to leave the protection of the Sacred Tree and head south. I can't help but feel like we’re leaving more than just the protection of the Sacred Tree, we’re leaving the protection of Tír Glas itself. Apparently, Tír Glas is the last uncorrupted Isle which means Tír Bán isn't safe, even if we do manage to reach it. Which is another problem we need to overcome: getting to Tír Bán in the first place. We'll have to cross the Silver Sea which we can only do on a special type of ship we need to get from Dún na Sithe through bartering with the Fairfolk who live there.
Not that we have a choice.
From what the Goddess said, I believe our only way back to California can be found in Tír Bán. So, we'll just have to press on. The alternative, I suppose, would be to head back to Gross' Grove and ask her for help and see if she knows another way back. But if she had a better answer she wouldn't have sent us to talk to the Goddess at the Sacred Tree.
Oh—yeah, and then there's the issue of the Host of the Dead. Strange Fairfolk that have been apparently watching us since we arrived in Tír Glas. They haven't been able to cross the threshold of the Sacred Tree but once we head south there will be nothing stopping them from following us and potentially placing an order with the Cafe. Of course… Some of us seem to want to make their acquaintance. Hell only knows why.
At least our path forward is still mostly straight: Head to Dún na Sithe, trade the Goddess' flame for passage aboard a ship that can cross the Silver Sea and reach Tír Bán to meet with the Forgotten King, see if we can use his powers to traverse across the Isles and also back to our home.
Like always we just need to keep moving.
