I bring further good news, everyone! So, as you all already know, we got a bit “sidetracked” [considering this comfort food came from Lavender, it’s probably a bit more predetermined than it may appear] in helping out a wayward Magician who was having some trouble with his fire “trick.” And to help him out, we had to outsource a bit to someone more knowledgeable about the ins and outs of hat tricks and haberdashery. Thankfully, Matcha knew just the person! Of course, her services weren’t free. Give a woman a cup of coffee, and you quench her for a day; teach a woman to brew, and you quench her for a lifetime.
Which is to say… She wanted a job! A little more than a job, she also wants… um… well, we can worry about the specifics of it later. Look, I’ve asked her if it will harm us in any way, and it shouldn’t. She only needs a few ounces AT MOST. Even if I didn’t give her a job, she’d still need to be paid for her services, so like it or not, we’re gonna have to rally together on this one. So, everyone, please welcome Cherry to our staff—and we’ll sort out the specifics of her… condition… later.
As for the magician, well, what generic combination Cafe and Diner doesn’t have a guy doing hat tricks for the patrons, customers, and tourists? So, I offered him a job, and he accepted! This is exciting because out of all of us, I think Hazelnut has been to the most places up North and beyond. Hopefully, he can help us book a flight home for Mr. Perez after his dinner service. That brings us to… 7! Wow, we’re only three employees away from having as many employees as the original Cafe had.
