Uh, hi, everyone. I suppose I should introduce myself… My employee name is Caramel, but most of you probably know me as the Practitioner or Hazelnut’s friend. I know I was pretty hesitant to join your new Cafe and Diner, but Hibiscus was able to convince me that it should be safe, so long as I keep my CaDCom on me. Also, I don’t know if “Practitioner” is entirely accurate still as I… well, I’ve sort of given up on getting help from up above. I mean, it wasn’t always that way, but lately, it sure seems like no one’s home.
Looking at the past receipts, I think you all have a pretty good idea of who I am, what I did, where I used to work, and what happened to me, right? And while Hibiscus said the CaDComs should be able to block unwanted corrections, she said we should still be cautious, especially in the more open channels. Still, I could probably fill in a few of the gaps about how I ended up there, huh?
When I was a bit younger, I got involved with an organization similar to the Cafe and Diner. It just so happened that our work caught the attention of the Double Daggers. My work, in particular, was of great interest to them. I was able to curry favor with someone very special, someone they wanted the favor and power of. Of course, I was only 15 or so at the time, so I… well, I did what I had to do to join their organization. It didn’t take long working there to realize what their true aspirations were. Eventually, I lost my special connection… and then a few slip-ups later, and I was cast out, marked to be rectified later.
