Surely, there must be subtler ways to summon a large group of people to the Hollow than swallowing them up in a massive venus fly trap. Then again, I suppose we did forgo the one and only rule Beez has of his domain. Oh well. It was worth a shot to head off Ms. Roussimoff before things went south. Little good that did with a Spooned-up Joy, fearlessly charging in to pay her tab in full. Which is crazy, right? I wouldn't even have tried that—but that's what the Spoon of Fate does. It makes the impossible plausible… At a great risk.

Mm… Speaking on the machinations of the Dead God, Fate, I suspect this has all played out in Its favor, as it is, was and were. Also… I've noticed… A change, within myself. When I rejoined the Cafe and Diner Network I had foreseen the Diner-channel on the CaDComs to be as it once was, secret and obscured in the verbiage of the trade. But now? Being trapped here in Beez's Hollow… I wonder if I should loosen my tie a bit and have fun with the rest of them. Speak freely, as it were. To an extent. I'll keep the customer names, the drinks, the most common of the Diner parlance, but why waste effort and dance around it?

As I mentioned at the opening of my receipt, Beez has summoned us—forcefully—to the Hollow of Flies, home of his never-ending feast of Gluttony. Now… We must smooth things over with Beez before proceeding any further. We did bring offerings with us, we'd have been stupid not to, but typically these offerings should have been placed on the table as soon as we came across the Hollow, not much, much later after causing quite a commotion in the Thorned Tangle.

So many proper nouns, huh? Pieces of Fate, Tools of Creation, Seeds of Sodom, Seven Sacred Flames… all of it a big mess. At least our tribute to Beez has been paid and Indrid is almost fully recovered. Once he is back online we'll give him a tonic with the Spoon and hopefully he can give us a sense of the bigger picture and how we might yet save the day and serve Ms. Roussimoff her well earned late lunch deep in the depths of the Thorned Tangle.

As for Jericho… We'll chat once this is done. I feel almost compelled to say, welcome back, but—ah, did you ever really leave? Speaking of leaving though, Ranoma is going to head back ahead of us. Not that he isn't a valued member of this team but… Given the current dire and some may say "wicked" circumstances, it may be wiser if he returns to the Midnight Cafe in case something should happen to the rest of us. Not that we'll all perish horribly in our attempt to serve our biggest customer yet. That'd be silly. But it is worth being prepared if one of us must activate the Midnight Protocol.

Enough gloom and doom though.

We've come far, and despite a misstep or two, we've done well against Ms. Roussimoff. I know I am something of a late addition to the Midnight ranks, but I've discussed with CaDence at great lengths the work you all did during the Mangrove Syndicate operation. Impressive stuff. One day it'll have to be released as a proper Case File… though I have other operations in mind for what will be Case File No. 1.
