We are headed back to the Thorned Tangle now to pay Ms. Roussimoff's tab in full.
It has been a long time coming.
We both have the aid of Beez and his followers now which should smooth our journey considerably. And, with Jericho's blessing, we've given Indrid Cold a sip of the Tonic of Fate which has cleared his mind enough to lead us straight to the corrupted Seed of Sodom and Ms. Roussimoff. It would seem they are just beneath the bottom crust of Kur. A dangerous and dark region, to be certain.
We need to be ready for just about anything now. Things have shifted out of Ms. Roussimoff's favor and into that of Fate's… And if Fate is to be considered an ally, well, then I am the pope. After the tonic was stirred for Indrid we did give the Spoon of Fate to Ranoma to take back to the Midnight Cafe so there is no chance any of us might be tempted into quelling our own mounting fears. The fear is good. It'll keep us sharp. It'll keep us alive down here in the deepest, darkest depths of the Tangle.

Alright. We've made it to the what I suspect will be the final safe haven before once more encountering Ms. Roussimoff. Indrid is just now taking his final sip to clear his head and to see into the tangles and knots of the Dead God's weavings. I hope he sees what the grand plan in all of this is because I fear I am rather lost. Exhilarating, in a way, to have no idea what will happen next; annoying, too, don't get me wrong. But an Auditor, I suppose, does not need to know what will happen next, only to observe how it is all playing out in the here and now.

O—kay. Case closed. Ms. Roussimoff's tab has been paid in full, though… it was not paid by us. Not the Cafe and Diner. No. Something… Well, why spoil CD-EOG-08? Go read it and see just how damn dreary things are about to get in sunny Palm Beach, Florida. Let's not focus too much on what went wrong though. Let's focus on our success, the Seed of Sodom is no more. And we have a new ally in the Coffee Trade. The offer to have her join Midnight certainly still stands but first and foremost we really should get the hell out of Beez's slice of, well, hell.
Alaric has recovered and what damage was done to him by Ms… Well, you know, Rico brought up a good point, actually. This new customer of the Cafe and Diner requires a new name all together. Ms. Bell. Yes. That'll do nicely.
Alaric has recovered from the headache caused by Ms. Bell and also in part from Ms. Roussimoff's rude refusal of his earlier attempt at service. Once Alaric was back up, it took only a few hours for him to rouse each and every one of our spirits… Save for Indrid and I. We are… Kin, in a way. Still… Hurts to be kicked around like that.
As for what we shall do next? We shall beg Beez to send us home I think. We've done more than enough to safeguard his plane and I feel as if he owes us an easy flight home. If not, it'd still be worth our time to check out, and perhaps indulge a bit, in the everlasting Feast of the Hollow of the Flies. We have already paid in, of course, and it is considered rude to leave without so much as a doggy bag.
