Good news, Requiem! Solomon was able to get a hold of both Abner and Magdelena Langley. We'll be meeting with them next week so we can keep our Sponsor Levi in the loop. It's funny, having audited practically every Cafe and Diner at this point, most of our Network's Sponsors are rather hands off. Even Lucy over at Sunshine tends to shy away from our specific brand of the Coffee Trade. But Levi? Levi is practically a co-owner, alongside Felix. I suppose it must be the manifestation of his unfathomable envy—he treasures everything he truly owns.
Practically though this means we'll be waiting another seven days until being able to move forward with the Costigan situation. Well, half of the Costigan situation. There is also the rather pressing matter of the body being grown within La Belle Pleureuse. We can't exactly leave that development further unchecked, can we? We don't know the full scale of Ms. Sandiego's "body of work" and our counter-cocktails are woefully inadequate to deal with it directly. But what would you all rather do? Nothing for a whole week? Seriously? We're baristas, we must do something.
It's probably wise to send our more indestructible baristas… which means Jade, Elizabeth, and Katherine. Though… I'd also appreciate for Aelan to tag along and hang back outside of the club to monitor the streets in case Mr. Fenimore passes by. I am curious to better understand the connection between Mr. Fenimore, Mr. Costigan, and Ms. Sandiego. Partially, if I am being honest, it could come in handy if Mr. Fenimore could ferry us supplies in the future. That would've saved me quite the headache a while ago when I was attempting to pull my whole heart into something else… Ah, oh well!

All things considered… I've dealt with worse odds. Now that Ms. Sandiego has seemingly finished her work at La Belle Pleureuse the plan is to overwhelm her with our undying support, love, and service as the best damn Cafe and Diner this side of the nearby Mississippi. We're going to give her more. And more. And more. Until she is so sick of the smell of our coffee she won't be able to stomach coming in for her imminent reservation. Elizabeth is doing what she can to buy us the time needed to put together this spectacular service and we think we can manage it with the help of some nearby customers in Lafayette that Oleander and Penelope vetted for us: Ms. Barre and Mrs. Fontenot.
Ms. Barre, despite her rather intimidating honorific, may or may not be a hectic service. It really depends on if she's up and about or not. She's known to be quite the heavy sleeper—though one could argue it's in her blood or perhaps her love of Scotch. As for Mrs. Fontenot, she is a much more straightforward customer though not one I would expect Requiem to serve; no, she would much rather be considered a patron of Bloodglass I'd think. But, if we can get her into the Cafe we might be able to serve her some soul food or at least a nightcap that'll change her mind about which Cafe is superior. Though a night cap is at odds with her usual order of a Double Shot.
Look—I won't sugar coat this for you all. I am putting on my usual veneer of bravado because I think it helps bring up the communal confidence a bit, but Elizabeth's hands are turning blue, the Amber paint is peeling, and Ms. Sandiego is absolutely burning to get back into town, back to business. Something not only wicked but vile this way comes. If this plan should fail, we're in deep shit. All of us. Bloodglass, Midnight, Sunshine, Tesseract, Silenus, Testament, Core… Everyone. So… Let's do our best work.
