Requiem will be taking a little trip over to Lafayette to serve our two new customers, Ms. Barre and Mrs. Fontenot in an effort to gather some exotic ingredients for our upcoming service of Ms. Sandiego. Everyone will be going except for Elizabeth who will be staying back at the manor to maintain her hold on La Belle Pleureuse, though she'll have the company of Abner and Magdalena Langley. Speaking of the Langleys, they are working on a Scotch-infused cocktail to serve to Ms. Sandiego at her big "going away" party. Ah—yes, if you haven't yet heard, Ms. Sandiego is going to be leaving New Orleans for the far foreseeable past, present, and whatever-willing future.
Once we get to Lafayette it would be prudent to split up to minimize the time Elizabeth needs to maintain her control. Mrs. Fontenot has a job over at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Ms. Barre was last seen hanging around—you'll never guess—Port Barre, a little north of Lafayette. Though Ms. Barre might seem to be the more difficult customer I would rather serve her than Mrs. Fontenot. Ms. Barre, a habitual Scotch drinker, is more in my "wheelhouse" than a no-good Double Shot ghoul, like Mrs. Fontenot.
Though I would expect this dual-service to be no longer than a week, we will need to return before our next monthly meeting with Levi. And, of course, before Elizabeth loses her control. And, hell, maybe Nickels is working out some way to undermine our current efforts as I type this. Maybe while Requiem is away, Ms. Sandiego will decide to seize the lake entirely. The point is, we're grasping at straws here.
…And that's entirely fine. Some people—not sane people—drink their coffee through straws, so it's good to have a few on hand. Of course, I personally don't trust anyone with teeth whiter than alabaster, myself.

My sincerest apologies, Felix. I really dropped the ball back there. I wandered off. Caught up in a most curious case of "static" in the air. Nothing to really worry about, just a "freak" coincidence I'm sure. I shouldn't let it happen again though. Things got a little too dicey with Mrs. Fontenot's service. She was a far more aggressive customer than we gave her credit for, though I am rather proud of how well Penelope, Ichabod, and Jade were able to handle themselves. As for Ms. Barre? Well, her help is greatly appreciated, of course, but I can't say I love the Sword of Damocles she brings with her.
Once Penelope awakens, Jade and Katherine can get to giving her hickeys, or whatever their plan is, and should that go well, we can head to the lake to put an end to this. Abner, Magdalena, and Elizabeth believe they've found a solution to Ms. Sandiego's atrocious backwash problem—really she only needs to swallow her medicine without fighting it.
There is only one loose end: Nickels. According to the Langleys, Nickels doesn't "really" want to help Ms. Sandiego. Of course, I find that a bitter cup, don't you? He's been helping her for a century. He came back to New Orleans just to help her. He sings his pretty little songs just for her. He's the only one who can really disrupt our plan… And I have to have faith that Magdalena knows her ex better than I do. It wouldn't hurt to have him perform at La Belle Pleureuse for us while it is still under Elizabeth's control. The issue is really getting him booked there.
