Hey. I guess my name is… Vanilla? Hibiscus said I should write a receipt to introduce myself. Apparently, she wants to keep things as open to patrons as possible. Cool. She also wanted to see if new employees could be added to the CaDCom-A… I’d say so. Anyway. I’m not really sure what to say about myself. I guess I could start with my history with the Cafe and Diner. The Original. I was… what, 11? When the original one opened. And I was around 16 when it closed.
By the time I was 16, I had gotten into the Coffee Tech industry. I was taught by one of the best. Employee No. 614. If things had gone differently, if the original Cafe and Diner hadn’t burnt down, I probably would’ve been working there by now. I’m not sure if No. 614 was planning on retiring or if he just wanted some extra help with the Cafe’s tech. After he died, the vultures came swooping in. Not for him. For me. The Decodex Society. They couldn’t even wait for the corpse to go cold before trying to get me on their payroll. Typical.
I don’t know. The whole thing really put a sour taste in my mouth, and I’ve been staying away from the Coffee Trade since. However, I think it might be nice to honor No. 614’s legacy. Plus, Hibiscus is no Redwood. I’m not sure how she was able to put together these new CaDComs, though. I guess they are a bit of a kludge. I can fix that. That’s about all there is to me. I guess on a more personal level… I like food. Big fan of snacks. Hopefully, Hibiscus can keep this Cafe stocked with some actual things to eat, unlike the last one.
